God’s plan this month is to give you rest…
“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls” (Matt. 11:28-29).
… and to come into this kind of godly rest, the Spirit of God wants you to do these three things:
- WALK with God
- WORK with God
- WATCH for what God is doing
WHAT DOES THE GODLY REST MEAN?
It means God will give you CALMNESS
It means God will give you PEACE
It means God will COMFORT you
GOD’S PLAN FOR YOU THIS NEW MONTH IS TO GIVE YOU FREEDOM FROM EVERYTHING THAT WORRIES AND TROUBLES YOU!
God is saying to you, this season, that He won’t rest until He gives you peace. It will all be God’s work.
“For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burns. And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the Lord shall name. Thou shall also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. Thou shall no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shall be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the Lord delights in thee, and thy land shall be married” (Isaiah 62:1-4).
You will dwell in peaceable habitation. Everything that troubled your habitation up until last night have ceased today. There is cessation of trouble for you in the name of Jesus. That trouble has come to an end.
“And my people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places” (Isaiah 32:18).
Comfort has come for you. Your warfare is ended. Your iniquity is pardoned. Your punishment is enough. Your sin is forgiven. For the shame and punishment of your sins, you shall now have double glory in the name of Jesus!
“Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, says your God. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord‘s hand double for all her sins” (Isaiah 40:1-2).
